Apple dropped three announcements Tuesday: a new iMac with M6, a new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6, and a sizable update to Apple Creator Studio. Here’s the quick version of each.
Apple unveils new iMac with M6

The 24-inch iMac moves to the M6, with up to a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and support for up to two 6K external displays. It still comes in seven colors, and the 12-core model gets a nano-texture display option and Touch ID on the keyboard as standard. Pricing starts at $1,499 for the 10-core model and $1,699 for the 12-core. Pre-orders open tomorrow, and it’s available Friday, November 6. You can get a 12-core M6 iMac for less than a folding iPhone. I mean, we know this, but still, it’s remarkable.
Apple introduces the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6
The base 14-inch MacBook Pro gets the M6 too, which Apple says is up to 30 percent faster in graphics and 25 percent faster in AI work than the M5 model it replaces. The headline number is battery life: up to 24 hours, which is genuinely huge, if true. It starts at $1,999 in space black or silver, with the same October 28 pre-order and November 6 availability as the iMac. But where the iMac is sticking with its cool color palette, with the MacBook Pro, we’re sticking with boring colors.
