Nothing too shocking here, other than Wired blowing Apple’s embargo. Whoops?
Update: Wired originally published in the eight am hour Eastern time, with the embargo actually up at 9am.
If you’re not familiar, companies like Apple can offer a story to reporters with an embargo agreement: We’ll share the facts with you ahead of time, you promise not to publish before a given time we provide.
In this case, Wired jumped the gun. They’ve now updated their story to reflect a 9am publish time. It initially said 8:38am.
