There are many ways to get random numbers. The way computers actually do randomization is cool, but not my point in this piece.
You may know that you can ask Siri (or Alexa, and probably other chat assistants) to roll a die, flip a coin, or pick a random number between two bounds.
There’s Random.org, the preferred randomization tool used by game shows over at The Incomparable.
You can also type ”flip a coin” or “roll a die” into Duck Duck Go or Google, and it just works.
There’s the lovely Dice by PCalc, from developer (and occasional Rebound guest-host) James Thomson, which lets you customize every facet of your dice and what you roll them upon.
