Nvidia said on Thursday that it is buying Hugging Face, a library of open artificial intelligence models, for $12.9 billion, as the chip maker goes on a spending spree amid an escalating global race to dominate the technology.
That’s a lot of money.
If we go by market cap, Nvidia is basically paying one Warner Music Group for Hugging Face. Or more than one Clorox.
I don’t really have a sharp insight here. Just, wow, that’s a lot of money.
