Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 7.0.0. The most significant changes since 6.0.0 are faster installations and upgrades, stronger sandboxing, [and] a native macOS app.
If you need Homebrew, you probably already use Homebrew. But the new “official” Mac app is clever and built well.
(If you’re thinking: What the hell is Homebrew? Homebrew makes it simple to install, update, and manage command-line tools, developer utilities, and even Mac apps. Think of it as an App Store for software that developers and power users typically install through the Terminal. But this new Mac app is certainly interesting, too…)
